In June 2008, Vania, a joint venture of Georgia Pacific France and Johnson & Johnson France, will start together with Carrefour France in cooperation with SRC a Price Synchronisation pilot.
Besides the synchronisation of generic data, the companies would also like to exchange price information between each other and their trading partners. For the companies as well as for SRC this is a unique opportunity to get familiar with all details concerning price synchronisation.
SRC already has been busy developing a price synchronisation module. As a result of this activity, as well as the further expertise SRC has with data synchronisation, Vania and Carrefour France asked SRC to help them to initiate the pilot.
After the pilot is brought successfully to an end, the companies will go live. It is to be expected that Price Synchronisation will be an embedded aspect in the world of Global Data Synchronisation.
