Beiersdorf AG has selected SRC-PDM software for the worldwide roll-out of Global Data Synchronisation (GDS) with the 1SYNC data pool. The objective of Beiersdorf is to synchronise automated product information with retailers. The GDS project will lead to a significant reduction of human actions as a result of which the number of mistakes during the processing of product information will be reduced.
The flexible SRC-PDM software ensures that Beiersdorf disposes of central article management with specific enrichment possibilities. By means of integration product information is retrieved from SAP ERP. SRC-PDM automatically validates the data according to the standards of the data pool. The unique ’GDS Update Service’ makes sure that Beiersdorf is always up to date when it comes to the standards which are continuously subject to developments within the world of GDS. The project based approach provides Beiersdorf handles for a powerful roll-out to meet specific needs, where and when necessary.
“Senior management sponsorship, a dedicated GDS team (Business and IT), a tried and tested solution and experienced partners are the keys to a successful project”, according to Dr. Hans-Henry Wendt, Vice President Supply Chain Plan & Deliver at Beiersdorf AG.
“SRC already supports various (international) manufacturers and retailers. We are very pleased that Beiersdorf has chosen our tried and tested real-life solution. Ever more manufacturers and retailers subscribe to the importance of the availability of, always correct, product information. The choice of Beiersdorf for SRC-PDM confirms the leading position of SRC in this specialist area”, says
